1956 Ford F100 Environmentally Friendly Hot Rod

This vehicle is owned by Steve’s Restorations & Hot Rods. Since its completion in July of 2009, it has been featured on Spike TV’s Powerblock TV. It has appeared at the SEMA Show, the East Coast Indoor Nationals, the Syracuse Nationals, the Detroit Autorama, the Street Machines of Rochester’s Motor Mania, the 2010 Northeast Regional Trade Show and the F100 Supernationals..

In building this vehicle we have ensured that every environmentally friendly attribute is also a custom attribute, as this is a fully customized vehicle. The engine is a big block Ford 460 with aluminum heads, a tunnel ram & many other high performance modifications. What sets this engine apart from many others is the fuel; it runs on 100% liquid propane, which creates next to zero emissions and produces equal too more horse power than pump gas! Furthermore this extremely beautiful paint job is done with PPG’s Vibrance Envirobase (waterbase) Paint, which offers PPG’s awesome Vibrance colors in a completely VOC compliant paint system. Other environmentally friendly attributes include nitrogen filled tires by Nokian; Nokian is the worlds first tire manufacturer to introduce a production method using earth friendly oils, which means that they can guarantee the complete absence of toxic chemicals.

Other interesting features include: 4 link rear suspension, a completely remote operated air ride suspension system, a hydraulic dump box, swivel bucket seats, 3 DVD screens, a side tilt hood, suicide doors and a custom made front end to resemble the Ford F1. The truck has handmade copper bedsides, copper interior trim, a copper grille and a copper engine bay. Also, copper anodized wheels and steering wheel built specifically for this vehicle.
